A Midwestern gal at heart with big-city valor, I moved to NYC from Madison, WI in 2006 to work in the melting pot of all things creative. My previous experience with live programming and booking bands (TV on the Radio, Melt-Banana, The Dirty Projectors), writing about DIY culture-makers and art directing photo shoots for the late and great quarterly Venus Zine, led me to working with editors and stylists in the design industry. Companies like BAGGU + Hable Construction created PR positions for me; I was promoted from Intern to Communications Director at Aesthetic Movement; and I collaborated with photo agents on branding and art direction at Tricia Joyce Inc. In between, I work on social justice causes involving LGBTQ topics, youth empowerment and women's advocacy. (Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls, The Heart)

The common thread linking these varied artistic mediums is my love of working with creative and passionate people from concept to execution — from developing curriculums on media literacy, art directing photo shoots to designing user-centered experiences that go beyond the digital space. I'm continually looking for ways to design innovative experiences for human interactions while they're doing everyday-normal-people things.
