“Williamsboard.com was a website started as a joke during the proto-social-media days. It was probably 2005 and there was a message board for bike messengers and cyclists, so my friend and I looked at each other and said, ‘What if we had a message board for Williamsburg hipsters, partying, and everything else?’ It ultimately had around 10,000 users and ended in 2011 when people had moved onto other social platforms.”
